This course focuses on the design and analysis of analog integrated circuits in advanced CMOS technologies. Students will explore the principles and techniques for designing key analog circuit building blocks, including operational amplifiers, comparators, voltage and current references, switched-capacitor circuits, current-mode circuits, and continuous-time filters. The course also examines A/D and D/A converters, covering parallel, serial, algorithmic, and oversampling architectures. Extensive circuit simulations are conducted using state-of-the-art tools such as Cadence/SPECTRE, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with modern design workflows. Mandatory group projects on designing analog IC will be included, with final reports and presentations.
