This subject aims to train students with the advanced knowledge of radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit design in the advanced CMOS technology, including design and analysis of widely-used RF transceiver architectures and circuits. The student will get hands-on experience to design and analyze RF integrated circuits and get familiar with the complete design flow from circuit design, layout design and parasitic parameters extraction.The content of this course is composed of seven parts: 1)RF passive circuits and matching networks; 2) Noise and nonlinearity in RF system; 3) Communication system and standard; 4) RF transceiver architecture; 5) RF transceiver calibration; 6) RF module circuit design; 7) Introduction to mmWave IC. The students to be enrolled in this course are required to be with basic knowledge in physics, semiconductor device and integrated circuits.
