Building upon the foundation of the commercial practice core course, you will learn about the latest developments in China’s foreign investment regime and gain a sound understanding of the approval and setting up procedures that apply to commercial transactions involving foreign investors in China. You will also practise advising the client on a range of commercial and cross-border issues commonly encountered by foreign investors in China, drafting agreements relating to commercial transactions and conducting due diligence. Whilst the course is conducted in English, the ability to read Chinese is a significant advantage as the official text of the legislation is Chinese and English translation is sometimes inaccurate and incomplete.
